About

Cloud Office

A dedicated office with a mandated and defined governance structure to ensure smooth implementation and optimal operations of cloud services. Acting as a flag bearer for cloud adoption in Pakistan, defining criteria for accreditation and registration of Cloud Service Provider according to domestic and international standards and support provinces in their cloud adoption efforts to bring uniformity in cloud adoption across Pakistan.

Cloud Acquisition Offices

Designated office located in federal capitals of each province, providing services and facilities to different PSE and CSP’s that want to adopt latest cloud technologies as a Service provider or as a Public Sector Entity. The acquisition offices plays a vital role for getting different PSe’s on board by providing specialized consultancy and data classification services.

(Requirements to get accredited as a CSP are mentioned in the Accreditation Criteria) Route to Accreditation Criteria.

(This concern has been addressed in the data classification of PCFP. The clause states that the location of the data storage depends upon the type of data stored. Further can be elucidated from PCFP)

(The The PSE has the ability to classify data on its own and can recommend what kind of CSP and Cloud Model works best for their data type. A more precise definition of data type can be found in data governance policies)

(PSE would adhere to the fundamental framework for cloud procurement in order to adopt cloud Services. The Cloud Office can provide them with a list of accredited and audited CSP’s. Additionally, Cloud Acquisition Office would assist them with data classification and model selection in addition to supporting them during the acquisition and onboarding of CSP.)

(Private sector can also avail the Cloud services by opting the cloud services as a PSE)

(If a CSP wants to discontinue it’s services, they will have to intimate the users of it timely. This will also be mentioned in the SLA between both the CSP and PSE.)

(It takes around 20-30 Business days to get complete accreditation if all the requirements are met.)
